FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Tableful is seats-first nightlife: book a VIP seat or share a table, find guest-list spots, and go out in Los Angeles without buying the whole table. Plain answers below — pricing always lives on each night’s page.
Prefer chat? Ask Concierge · Help hub · How Tableful works
Do I need an account to buy tickets?
No. Guests can buy without signing up. Checkout collects at least an email so tickets and refunds can reach you.
Tableful may create a shadow account behind the scenes. It owns your orders but is not a login until you claim it with a verified email or phone. Buying never requires a password first.
Do I need an account to RSVP?
Anonymous RSVP is allowed with an email (lead capture + ticket email). Phone may be required when the host asks for it.
Like, comment, guest-list names, and messaging still need sign-in. RSVP with email alone does not unlock social features.
Can the concierge tell me who else is going?
No. The Virtual Promoter only sees public night catalog details and fullness counts.
It never searches people, never lists attendees, and never opens social threads. Fullness (how many are going / seats left) is metadata only, not names.
How do I find my tickets without an account?
Open ticket lookup and use the email from purchase or RSVP. Tableful sends a short verification code.
The chat never invents order lists. After you verify the email, you see the tickets tied to that address. Claim a real account later with the same email to keep them under login.
Find my tickets →How do I ask for help or leave feedback?
Open Help for FAQ and ticket intake, or ask Concierge. A human reviews tickets in-app.
Help brings Concierge FAQ answers and a Support form together. Email receipts go out when mail is configured. The chat never promises a refund outcome. Staff may escalate to the ops desk when a human conversation is needed. Spec-Sheet mismatch reports are their own path — within 3 days after the night, separate from a card chargeback.
Open Help →What if the night didn't match the Spec Sheet?
Report a Spec-Sheet departure on Support within 3 days after the night. A human reviews against the Spec Sheet.
That contractual guest-report window is separate from self-serve refunds and from card-network chargebacks. Hosts have a right of reply before any public mark.
Report on Support →How do refunds work?
Ask for a refund review through support intake (or your own in-window refund CTA on tickets when it applies). A human reviews.
The concierge never refunds on your behalf and never creates checkout or payment sessions. Outcomes stay with staff policy — not chat promises.
Find my tickets →What is Tableful for?
Tableful is seats-and-community first: VIP seats, tables, guest lists, and nights, not a generic ticket marketplace.
Hosts run nights on Tableful rails; guests browse, RSVP, or buy on each night’s own page. Explore is the catalog. The concierge helps you find nights and answer product questions. It does not invent prices or commission rates. Pricing on the night is the source of truth.
About Us →Is chat private? Does it store my messages?
Concierge chat is for finding nights and answering product FAQ. Do not send passwords, card numbers, or other people’s personal details.
Session retarget metadata (coarse city/country, last intent) only runs when a platform retention knob is set; otherwise nothing is written to that store. Continuing a chat in this browser keeps the thread locally so you can pick up where you left off.
How do I contact a human?
Open Help → Send a ticket, or escalate from an existing ticket. Staff may reply by email.
Guest chrome stays first-party — there is no third-party chat widget embedded on the site. Escalated desk work happens in ops tools behind the scenes after an admin escalates a ticket. Chatwoot Always Free A1 cutover stays parked on the CE trial.
Open Help →How do I message the host?
Messaging is signed-in only. Open the night or your booking and start a thread under Messages.
If you bought or RSVP'd without an account, sign in with the same email first so the thread ties to you.
Open Messages →Can I save nights for later?
Yes, when you are signed in. Tap Save on a night or a host profile, then open your list from Saved or Account.
Saving does not RSVP or buy — it is a bookmark only.
Open Saved →What is the difference between Organized and Sourced nights?
Organized on Tableful means a host created the night here and sales run on our rails. Sourced listings are happenings where you can request a seat even when no host is on Tableful yet.
Explore badges and each night page say which class it is. The concierge never quotes commission rates or hidden fees — pricing on the night is the source of truth. Use Browse Explore when you want to scan the live catalog, not when you only need this FAQ explained further.
Browse Explore →I bought without an account — how do I sign in later?
Sign up or sign in with the same verified email (or phone) you used at checkout.
Tableful attaches your shadow record so orders and tickets carry over. Two separate purchased real accounts are never auto-merged — see the identity-merge FAQ.
Sign in →Can Tableful merge two accounts for me?
Not automatically. Two separate purchased real accounts stay separate until a human on support reviews a merge request.
Shadow checkout still claims when you sign in with the same verified email or phone. Auto-merge of two full accounts is permanently support-only (I3) — Concierge never merges identities.
Open Help →Will Tableful text me (SMS)?
SMS stays off until a From number is configured. Email and push can still work when you opt in.
Guest last-seats texts need the guest SMS package plus a Twilio From number. Host invite share does not use Twilio. Until From is live, text send stays honestly dark — we do not pretend messages went out.
Open Notifications →Can I like or comment without signing in?
No. Likes, comments, guest-list names, and host messaging need sign-in.
Buying tickets and RSVP can work with just an email when the host allows it — social actions still need a real login.
